Well Aware Wrap Up:

The 2010 delivery season successfully wrapped up when the snow fell in December and once again members have wait lists for the 2011. The home visit has been proven to increase the numbers rural homeowners that take the recommended positive actions to protect our common groundwater resources. CLICK HERE to find out where our members are delivering Well Aware. To date, there have been 3,599 visits across the province and over 500,000 individuals engaged with the program.

Provincial Annual Report:

The 2010 Annual Report on Drinking Water is prepared annually by the Minister of Environment. See accomplishments and directions that our province is moving towards regarding our most precious resource.

Green Tradeshow:

The Green Expo is extremely pleased and excited to be entering its 8th year of showcasing the best in green products, services and technologies to residents of central and eastern Ontario. The Green Expo was one of the first and continues to be one of the longest running events of its kind in the province. Provincial Regional Meeting:

Ontario Ground Water Association holds annual regional meetings that give industry updates. Check to see dates and locations for your area. Education Conference:

Ontario Association of Home Inspectors Annual Education Conference is geared towards home inspectors, students and industry. Included this year are concurrent sessions, tradeshow and a house tour.

Wells in Haiti

Lifewater.ca is a group of volunteers that trains, equips & supports the rural poor in Haiti & Africa to drill wells and build washrooms. Ontario Ground Water Association members have donated a shipping container of materials that has been sent to Haiti that will rebuild and construct wells in rural communities. Great work everyone!
